About this website

This website brings together the information people need most on the island: places and services, a map, photographs, community news, upcoming events and emergency numbers. It is an independent community project.

Where the information comes from

There are two kinds of content on this site, and they are always labelled.

• Official and verified information. Directory places, emergency numbers and news are added only by the site administrator. Places show whether they have been verified and when. Every emergency number shows when it was last updated.
• Community content. Photographs, comments and reviews come from registered members. Photographs are checked by the administrator before they are published.

If something is not known, it is left out or shown as not available. Nothing on this site is made up to fill a gap.

Submitting a photograph

1. Create an account and sign in.
2. Open the Gallery and choose Submit a photo.
3. Add a title, description and the photographer's name, and confirm you have the right to share it.
4. The administrator reviews it. You can follow its status under Your account.

Location and camera data are removed from photos on your device before upload. Approved photos always show the photographer's credit.

Reporting incorrect information

Every place, emergency number, article, event and photo has a Report a problem link. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, what the correct information is. Reports do not change anything automatically. The administrator checks each one first.

Privacy

Browsing needs no account. If you register, your email address is used only to sign in and is never shown publicly. Your display name appears next to comments and reviews you post. Photos you submit stay private until approved. To have your account and submissions removed, contact the administrator.
